The inaugural race for girls only

Celebrate the goddess in you with the Nike Goddess 5K as the inaugural girls-only running event which flags off on Saturday, 7 May 2011.

Providing girls to own the sport of running, the Nike Goddess 5K will bring 5,000 girls running through a unique and fresh route. Starting at the Marina Barrage, the race will take runners across the Marina Channel and around the scenic waterfront promenade. Kicking off at 5pm, the Nike Goddess 5K also features an evening of fringe activities.

Girls will find this a pleasant addition to their running and training calendar as it appeals to the goddess in all girls, a fact amplified with its bold proclamation, Running is for Girls.

Registration fees are $25 for girls under the age of 25 years, while girls 25 years old and above pay $35. Girls under 25 years old and running in pairs can also sign up for the Buddy category, where they get a 20% savings and pay $40 in total. All participants will also receive a specially designed Nike Goddess 5K runners’ pack.
