Having won the cup in 2011, and 2012, Temasek Polytechnic were set to be crowned three-time winners and win the cup for the third time in three years. They played host to the combined ITE team who looked evenly strong having to boast a number of club players in its squad. A four goal blitz in the second half saw an jubilant TP defending their title at home, and leaving their counterparts from ITE shell-shocked and unable to recover.

Nevertheless, it was a good showing from both teams as they demonstrated the bright future of Singapore football.
